It was Diddy's party and he can cry about security if he wants to.

Sean C****s reportedly "flipped out" on Monday night after it became obvious he and his six-man entourage were going to be search

When the rap mogul arrived at Club M2 for the shindig, a birthday bash he and Kobe Bryant were throwing for DJ Clue, a security detail was present to "make sure that the dozens of NBA stars in attendance ... would be safe," a witness to the fracas says.

C****s became irate after the police asked to search him. "He went nuts, saying, 'Why are you disrespecting me like this? Why are you doing this to me?' During the commotion, one of his guys slipped away, unsearched, back to the car."

The Bad Boy businessman then tinkered with the idea of entering into a back entrance, but security said he and his pals would still be searched. At that, C****s reportedly stormed off for the night. According to Page Six, Bryant didn't mind getting patted down and went on to party it up, in the VIP area of the club, naturally, until 4 a.m.

Hidden weapons and nightclubs are not a new c****ination for C****s. In 1999, a member of his entourage opened fire at a club in New York. Police found a stolen gun in one of C****s' vehicles, but he was later acquitted of gun-possession chargesed for weapons before entering a party he was co-hosting in New York City,
