JAMAICAN artiste Movado is making airwaves once again as he was recently nominated for eight International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA). The So Special artiste has already began blazing the year with sold out concerts and hits including So Bless, Inna di car back and the recent release of his video for his song So Special.
This year's IRAWMA marks the events 28th anniversary and will be held on May 3 in New York. It is the longest running and first award show to honour dancehall and reggae music equally alongside their world music counterparts.
The recipients and nominees of this prestigious award are not only recognised as the best in the industry, but also the best in the world.
Following Movado is Beres Hammond and Elephant Man with seven nominations each, Etana and Queen Ifrika with five nominations and Mr. Vegas with four.
Other nominees include Shaggy, Morgan Heritage, Duane Stephenson, Damian and Stephen Marley, Ziggy Marley, Wyclef Jean, Serani, Jazmine Sullivan, Luciano, Tony Rebel, Tarrus Riley, and Stitchie.
