MANDEVILLE, Manchester - The Rotary Club of Cape Coral in Florida, USA, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Mandeville have donated a state-of-the-art anaesthetic machine worth $3.5 million to the surgical ward of the Mandeville Regional Hospital.
"Hospitals and healthcare are very important to us at the Rotary Club," Milley Burden, immediate past president of the Rotary Club of Cape Coral said at ceremony to formally hand over the donation at the hospital last Friday. "We are looking forward to collaborating with the Rotary Club of Mandeville for future projects."
Hospital CEO, Paulette Elliott, thanked the collaborating clubs for their gift and underlined the importance of the contribution to the hospital's operations.
"I want to thank you all wholeheartedly for your continued support and friendship. I know that there are many Rotarians who advocate for us and without your help and support this hospital would be in a great deficit, so I hope you will continue to help us provide quality care," she said.
Meanwhile, McClooney Blair, president of the Rotary Club of Mandeville, expressed his delight at the success of the joint venture and assured the hospital that there is more equipment on the way.
