A was mekin a study pon di riddims section
It seems dat alot of ppl posting riddims vintage, new(09) & dancehall riddims(2000-08) anywere dem want an dem keep MODS moving tings cus dem nuh post dem in di rite forum
Example= Riddims 09 r been posted in Dancehall Riddims wen dem suposed to b @ New: Reggae Riddims

Tink dat it could be helpful if di zone set di riddims forums @
2000-2008
90s (vintage) dis 1 is ok
2009 as di NEW REGGAE RIDDIMS

as year finish can be set to
2000-2009
90s will keep di same way
2010 as di NEW REGGAE RIDDIMS

an so... it will be betta so ppl can kno were to post di riddims in di rite way
A kno is kinda hard cus sum riddims will need to be moved and edited, but is a gud solution if di SEARCH butt is nuh workin, ppl kno exactly were to go to find di riddim if not dey can REQUEST IT, cus alot of di request dem are post aredi but dem cyaa find it still

agree wid yu 110%, ppl need fi tek the time though and put it inna di right forum. Sometimes when a man a try promote a mix cd for eg them a post it all ova inna riddims, r&b, singles etc NOW WHA DAT FA???

That doesn't make sense cause there are some people that can't read and spell *cough Movado cough*, Therefore there is no point in doing this. Try explaining that to a newbie. Also this would lead to further confusion, reposts and more work for moderators...

I get your point but its up to the zoners to work with it. I dont know whether it ls that they cant read because very trivial mistakes are being made, repeatedly, by the same user.


Eg.
  • putting Reggae singles in Dancehall singles, same for the riddims
  • instrumentals in riddims

"Hit Riddims" is full of shit. There needs to be rules for it cuz right now seems anything older than today is vintage!

I think there should be additional sections.
60's riddims
70's riddims
80's riddims
90's riddims

i agree with RR on this one..this is what i had said from b4 but i dont think anyone read that msgdoh..lol..buts its all good..but what rr is saying is true..if you have the riddim section divided more clearly into seperate years like that it makes it easier to find what you're lookin for especially for some of the members who cant even take the time to look for the search button!!..and i agree with what x is saying as well

i completely agree but the problem is all users who comment on this so far are able to post in the correct section and the retarded ones dont even read this one...i also vote for deviding the old school segment into decades...and as i already said in another thread riddims should be posted with CORRECT name, year and label and not with some bullshit comments in the title....

all of dis ideas is good but real problem is 80 % of members have already big problem fi create a proper post....& many of dem post same shit 4/5 times in differents sections just fi have many posts quickly

It makes sense to have clear labelling/ division of the music . Also we need to differentiate Reggae from dancehall as I think most ppl dont really know the difference between the two . E.g I know from a while we had Dancehall(Mavado , kartell killa etc) and Regge forum(Luciano, lutan fiyah, I octane etc) but then I see a forum called New Reggae riddims , so based on the criterias that was set before this forum should have music from (Luciano, lutan fiyah, I octane etc) right ? Correct me if I am wrong .
All the above ideas mentioned by RR makes sense but all I am saying is we need to have the forums clearly stating what kind of music is to be placed in the forums

have one section for singles. and one section for riddims. organize the riddim section by each year. that way you dont have to go dig thru 5 years of riddims to find one.

Sounds great... and i agree... but (yes there is a but lol) ... this is gonna make plenty more work for the moderators as members are gonna be posting the wrong music in the wrong forums all the time and then other members are gonna be bitching at the mods saying they aint doing there job... plz pplz u have to understand the amount of time and work us mods put in to cleaning the forums..

If its gonna make things easier for us then i agree 100%
