The St Catherine South police have prepared summonses for deejays Adidjah 'Vybz Kartel' Palmer and David 'Mavado' Brooks.
The summonses, which are expected to be served on the deejays sometime this week, will charged them with breaches of the Town and Communities Act following their performances at Sting 2008 recently.
The division's crime chief detective, acting Deputy Superintendent Carl Malcom, confirmed that the summonses have been prepared for the entertainers. "They will be served as early as possible," Malcolm told THE STAR. The Town and Communities Act prohibits people from using profanity and threatening words, a number of which were used during the entertainers' performances.
The artistes were involved in a highly publicised lyrical clash at Sting. The event attracted a large crowd and was for most part incident-free. There were a large number of police and security personnel present as well.
