Chicago Police have arrested William Balfour, the estranged brother-in-law of R&B Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson. He will be charged with three counts for the October slayings of Hudsons mother, brother and young nephew, authorities said today. He was released to Chicago detectives, Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Monique Bond said. Balfour, 27, who was married to Hudsons sister Julia, was a person of interest after the slayings and was detained and questioned by police but not charged. Balfour, who was also imprisoned for violating his parole on a previous attempted murder conviction, and was scheduled to have a hearing on Wednesday. Police did not reveal the evidence that led to Balfours arrest but he is now faces charges for the slaying that tore the Oscar winners family apart and grabbed the attention of the nation in late October. Balfour will be charged for the shooting deaths of Hudsons mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, brother, Jason Hudson, 29, and 7-year-old nephew, Julian King. Donerson and Jason Hudson were found shot to death on October 24 in Donersons home on the South Side of Chicago. Four days later, Hudsons young nephews body was found in a stolen sport utility vehicle parked on the abandoned on the West Side of the Windy City. A gun reportedly used in the slayings was found close to the SUV.
