While Vybz Kartel and Mavado are not on good terms in Jamaica, the remix of Gangsta by French producers Daddy & Hypa (D&H) is fast becoming a monster hit in France. The remix features Mavado, Vybz Kartel and newcomer Delus. You can listen to the Gangsta remix on the OutAroad music player on the right.
However, what we are here to discuss today is the feud between Mavado and Vybz - is it real or fake?
OutAroad.com team went on the street and these are the views of the people.
Jahmel Francis, Security, Age: 29 Mavado and Vybz Kartel have some personally issues going on, down to even the little kids them can tell that they are not friends. What I would love to know - were they real gangsters before them become entertainers? Them need fi pick which one them want to be because we cant have kids looking up to them as role models, it might sounds crazy but a lot of teenagers look up to them.
Wayne, Conductor, Age: 28 Mi love dancehall music and mi love see a little clashing gwaan more time but from what mi see taking place since of late, the thing seems as if its turning into a gang war. Look how long Beenie Man and Bounty a clash and yuh never see them physically war each other. The only feud that I believed is fake is the feud between Beenie Man and Bounty.
Barbara Hutchinson, Un-employed, Age: 32 With all the good things that are happening for Jamaica internationally, we dont need this kind of negative vibes fi come steal the spotlight that was given onto us by our strong and hard working athletic team. I do not listen their songs but I listen the news and at least once or two times a year them headline the news.
Its real musically but obviously not real outside of music because both a dem deh pon di line up fi di same shows & nuttin nah gwaan. It's good fi competition. Yuh soon hear dem do ah song togethor. Ah money di man dem ah make!
hmmm...dem two idiots have to behave demselves cuz dat eh making sense acting like dey hypa ready for a real physical war...kartel need to think straight and start back make tune for da girls
