The files, never published before, detail every stomach-churning injury inflicted on the tot and list the doctors and social workers who failed to save his life.

They reveal social workers noted signs that Baby P was being neglected by his mother just THREE weeks after his birth.



The first report of an injury came on October 13, 2006, when Baby P was seven months.

He had bruises to the side of his head and chest. The mother claimed he fell down stairs.

On December 11, he had bruising to his forehead, nose, sternum, right shoulder and breast.

Police were called and his mother was arrested.

In April 2007, he was taken to hospital with bruising and swelling to his head.

His mother claimed he had been pushed into a fireplace by another child.




On July 11, the tot had bruising around his ear.

The mother said he had an allergic reaction to cheese.

In fact he had been lifted off the ground by his ears.

On August 1, Dr Sabah Alzayyat failed to notice Baby P had a broken back and eight fractured ribs.

Two days later he died after being punched so hard he swallowed a tooth.

He was just 17 months old.

Altogether, he was seen 60 times by health and social workers.
