A man who robbed a woman of her breakfast was recently arrested and brought before the court to answer to the offence, which took place in Manor Park, St. Andrew, last month.

Michael Evans, the accused, yesterday had his bail extended until October 28, when the matter will come back to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Allegations are that the woman had just purchased breakfast at a restaurant in Manor Park and was putting her change, from the purchase in her pocket. It was at this point, the court was told, that Evans, came up to her and grabbed her $500 change.

A light tussle then developed between both parties during which the complainant turned away and called for help. Evans then grabbed the breakfast that the woman had just bought before bolting off.

The matter was reported to the police who subsequently apprehended Evans and slapped him with charges of larceny of the person and simple larceny.
