DANCEHALL DUO DNS (Dohlance & Saylah) - Ready For The Mainstream

DNS.jpg(Kingston, Jamaica)

It may sound like a new artist cliche but believe it or not many successful artists today have practiced and some perfected their musical talents while in the church and like those that came before up and coming Dancehall Duo Dohlance & Saylah is making the most of their past Sunday performances.

Born Norwayne Hills, Dohlance and his lyrical partner David Reynolds better known as Saylah has been campaigning the road many new artists have had to travel and despite the numerous obstacles have continued to forge ahead. The Duo which officially started to work together in 2002 after a chance meeting pay homage to different communities as Dohlance hails from Trelawny and Saylah from Mavis Bank, St. Andrew but once united make no mistake they both represent the energy in present day Dancehall.

At 24 Dohlance is the older of the duo and has always aspired to be in the music industry. A passionate lover of the sounds Dohlance began studying via the drums and keyboard the melody and rhymes of music, this later developed his ability as a songwriter. Back then his shyness would often cloud his ambitions but this was short lived as the support from family and friends gave his confidence the boost it needed to persist, and that he did carving his own path until Saylah came along. At 21 Saylah was influenced in his early years by the super prolific Sizzla Kalonji and the Dancehall governor & general Bounty Killer.
Together Dohlance & Saylah often called DNS for short has recorded songs for a number of labels including Vendetta, Orange Hill and Di Endz to name a few.  Tracks like "Never Dis" and "Buss It" have earned the favored status from their still growing catalog but for them theirs always more songs to be made. Managed by Palmer G since 2004 the duo has been traveling across jamaica performing at stage shows and clubs.

Currently promoting their latest single "Shake It Off" which is featured on the Soca Fusion Riddim produced by Supa Hype the duo is looking to break onto the mainstream scene this year.
