Irie Jamboree was a blast on August 31 in New York, with headliners like: Elephant Man and Coco Tea blowing up the place in their usual style. Beenie Man rocked, but Mavado tore it up; getting such tumultuous crowd response, that some in the audience got overheated.

Yardflex was surprised at reports of fights breaking out during Mavados time on stage, and injuries to some patrons reportedly included a stabbing and broken limb following a stampede of sorts.

Still Mavado did not disappoint and worked at giving fans what they wanted, after questioning them on the same. Did they come to fight or enjoydid they want to hear him, he wondered aloud.
