here's a question...is heart worm pills necessary or is it really just a cash grab? I know the truth however you being a vet nurse I'd like to hear your reply!

No its not a cash grab.

It is recommend that all dogs not currently infected with heartworms should be given heartworm pills to prevent an attack.

Prior to putting a dog on heartworm pills, the veterinarian will probably perform a test to be certain that the dog is not already infected.

Infection occurs through bites from infected mosquitoes. It is a myth that indoor dogs will not get heartworm, or that dogs with shaggy coats are better protected. All dogs can suffer the occasional bite from a mosquito that carries heartworm larvae.

Heartworm pills are fairly easy to take, and relatively inexpensive as pet medicine goes. Average treatment ranges in price from six to eight US dollars (USD) per month. Some topical treatments also can be used in place of pills and may repel fleas and ticks as well.

so my advice would be to start givin your dogs this medication as soon as possible because if you leave it till the dog gets infected with heart worm it will be more expensive and harder to cure.. in many cases the animal dies from the infection.

Hope dis helped... need any more info den jus holla at me... Bless

I dont know what to do with it....Should I castrate tripod? Cause my kitten has two ass holes now and and I miss sleeping with by special teddy stewie, cause its always covered in dog cum:(

I recommend you take your dog to a local veterinarian hospital or you could buy a over the counter medication called Frontline spray.

Removing Ticks
The most common mistake many dog owners make when removing ticks is not removing the whole tick.

Let me explain.

When it *u*ks your dog's *lo**, a tick's head is pressed against the dog's skin, face first. Its mouth is actually buried under your dog's skin. If you are not careful, you can leave the head behind.

Here is how you can safely remove ticks

Hold a cotton swab soaked in mineral oil against the tick for about 30 seconds.

Use tweezers, like this Apothecary Magnifying Tweezer, to squeeze the skin that surrounds the tick and grab its head.

Slowly, pull it out. When you finish, clean the spot with rubbing alcohol.

Make sure that you got everything out and don't forget to wash your hands.

Removing ticks is not complicated, but it's important that you do it correctly.

Try this solution it will work.. anything else just holla
