Beenie invites Killer to Beenie Sizzle '08

Beenie Man's highly anticipated signature stage show event 'Beenie Man Sizzle' is slated to unfold on August 6th at the Jamalco Sports Complex in Halse Hall, Clarendon, and the entertainment world is bracing for its arrival this Summer after a one year hiatus.

Beenie_ManA.jpg Its going to be an amazing show, the artistes are excited about it, the entertainment community is excited and the business community in May Pen and surrounding areas are also enthusiastic, Tameka Reynolds, marketing manager of Free People Entertainment which is handling the organization of the show, told Chat.

The official lineup includes: Beenie Man of course, Anthony B, Capleton, Kartel, Sanchez, Natural Black, Warrior King, Coco Tea, Jah Cure, Ninja man, Chuck Fender, Perfect, Munga, T.O.K, Idonia, Shane O, Voice Mail, Turbulance, Queen Ifrica, Lady G, Macka Diamond, Teflon, Mr. Vegas, RDX, Stacious, D'Angel, Assassin, Little Hero, Paul Elliott, Gyptian, Kashu, Versatile, and Sophia Brown. Upcoming artistes who will perform include Ras Goudie, Sparkles, Alphanso Hittis, Alfray, Little Miss and Alibra.

We are still in negotiation to get international rap stars Soulja Boy and Lil' Wayne to attend the show, and we are being besieged by requests from a number of artistes who are trying to clear their schedules to make it to the show, Ms. Reynolds said.

In the meantime, the promotion for the show has cranked up to the next level with radio and TV ads, billboards and posters have already been completed.

We have been securing a number of prime time spots to advertise the event and we have conceptualized several large billboards with Beenie Mans image that are going to wow people. We will be placing the billboards at strategic locations all over the country and we are already in discussion with the relevant parish councils to make this a reality, Ms. Reynolds said.

There will be an aggressive online promotion which will use the Internet to promote the event using myspace, Facebook and other social networking sites.

In the past, Beenie Man has secured several international stars for his annual show and this year will be no different, the organisers said.
The streets have been buzzing about the possibility that the Killer might attend.

"You know Beenie Man already, he is an inclusive person so he has left the door open for Bounty Killer to attend and perform at this year's show," manager Rohan Smith told one876entertainment this morning.
