A WOMAN found with fatal stab wounds inside a blazing house has become the latest victim of Broken Britain's knife crime epidemic - which has seen an incredible seven murders in just 24 hours.
A man was arrested today on suspicion of murder after firefighters were called to a detached property in the village of Tarleton, LANCASHIRE, in the early hours of this morning.
They broke down the door to find the dead woman inside, and rescued a 57-year-old man, who was rushed to hospital.

And later, it emerged a fifth man was the victim of a knife attack in London during the last 24 hours.
The man, in his late 20s, was found by police at an address in WILLESDEN, north west London, with stab wounds to the back and stomach.
Police said the man was taken to a west London hospital where he is in a life-threatening condition.
A 24-year-old woman was arrested at the scene, shortly after the attack at about 4.20am today.
In LIVERPOOL the body of a woman in her 40s was found with multiple stab wounds in a flat in Sefton after reports of a domestic argument. A 49-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards.
In WEST BROMWICH, a 20-year-old man was knifed at 11pm after being stabbed five times in the stomach at his home. A young man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of his murder.
Meanwhile, in NOTTINGHAM, it emerged that a 25-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed outside a house at 3pm on Wednesday in Bulwell after an argument with another man.
Mark Beard was discovered with several stab wounds outside the house.
Nottinghamshire Police launched a murder inquiry and have arrested a Nottingham man, who is also 25.
