Compton-bred rapper The Game is fed up. In a recent interview with Music Choice, The Game put his feelings on the line regarding his Sean Bell tribute, '911 is a Joke'.
The Sean Bell incident happened in 2006, when four police officers shot the unarmed Bell over fifty times, killing him. After the four officers were acquitted of all charges, The Game responded with a diss track to police entitled '911 is a Joke'.
The Game reached out to other artists and asked them to hop on the track, but all of them refused.
In the interview, The Game says "I reached out to alot of artists and I told 'em what I was gonna do for Sean Bell and alot of them just... I got a gang of excuses. Nobody wanna stand up and be a man. We don't have a problem putting out a mixtape dissing each other but the people that you say or claim to hate so much, which is, or the situation that render us helpless like police brutality, excessive force, people using the shield to really deal the wrong way with human beings, you know, like nobody wanna stand up for that except me."
Closely following his statements, The Game began to tear up and brought his interview to a close with the following ; I don't belong in this hip-hop. I belong in the like, old hip-hop. People that really didn't care about being vocal, you know. NWA and Public Enemy, people that really stood."
In related news, The Game's third studio album L.A.X. (Los Angeles Times) is set to hit stores on August 26th after numerous push-backs.
50 made him into a star and he bite the hand that feed him and like Ryder said Papoose mad a track about the same thing like a few after the incident and he didn't get recogixed for it so game need to sit down and go read a book
game confused at time but i believe he is one of the few artists out there who actually give a dam as for fifty(i know the post is not about him but him name call up) compare games last album to his and game one is clearly superior
