DJ Rules

MediaZoneJA aims to provide the best in internet radio entertainment in a fun yet professional environment. The following guidelines are designed to give clarity to participating DJs and to meet our quality objectives.


1. We ask that all DJs be at least 18 yrs of age and be registered members of MediaZoneJA.

2. Each DJ will make available to MediaZoneJA a summary and detailed profile along with a thumbnail and banner image prior to playing for promotional purposes.

3. All DJ sessions are done online and as such each DJ is responsible for their own music, software, internet connection and equipment.

4. We expect DJs to live up to the radio schedule and be available to commence playing at the time slot committed to.

5. DJs will be allotted a maximum time of 4 hours of the Radio. Assigned Radio personnel will use their discretion based on the experience of the DJ or on past performance on MediaZoneJA Radio how much time will be ultimately allotted to each DJ.

6. Once DJs are scheduled, they are required to submit a breakdown of their setfor e.g time allocated to top ten countdown, interviews, mixing, etc.

7. We ask that each DJ show respect to all other DJs and to listeners and members of MediaZoneJA.

8. Additionally we ask that you show respect to other internet radio stations/websites and their hardworking representativesin effect no dissing of other other internet radio stations/websites and their employees!

9. If unable to make it for a certain time slot we ask that you communicate well beforehand with assigned Radio moderator so that the alternate arrangements can be made.

10. If you are having difficulties filling a given time slot arrangements can be made with another DJ to fill the slot but this must be communicated to assigned Radio moderator beforehand.

11. If you are unable to make a time slot and no communication is received (at least 24 hours), you will not be allowed to continue in our DJ rotation on MediaZoneJA.

12. DJs agree to honor as best as possible the formal requests of listeners and members of MediaZoneJA. In this regard, a request log is available to all parties


13. DJs can speak on topical issues but agree not to air their personal problems online.

14. DJs agree only to promote approved advertisers, MediaZoneJA or themselves during their rotation

15. DJs agree to respect totally the rights of copyright holders.

16. DJs agree not to promote or discuss any illegal material or activities while on air.

17. DJs can arrange to have their own guest DJs who must be ofay with site rules pertaining to DJs. Additionally, the assigned Radio moderator must be notified of the guest DJ before going on air..

18. We have a responsibility to our young listeners and advertisers and as such DJs agree not to use any profanity or sexually explicit material! We understand the nature of the music and encourage each DJ to do or be prepared to do the necessary editing to present the cleanest set to our listeners

19. Hate towards any individual or group will not be tolerated

Radio Rules



1. The radio will stream 24 hours per day.



2. Streaming will be done according our guide formatting schedule and detailed DJ Schedule available on the site. The former will essentially be a general guide as to the kind of genre that will featured in each time slot while the latter will give show the DJ or other event scheduled for each time slot



3. The radio site will be managed by a team of Mods (with one person acting as leader). The personnel and their functions will be posted soon



4. The radio will operate on our chosen platform. Information required by DJs and other operators will be made available through the assigned Radio personnel.



5. Streaming music/content will be available on the radio in the absence of a scheduled DJ or special event. This will be the responsibility of assigned radio personnel.



5. Hate content, illegal material, profanity or sexually explicit material will not be tolerated on the radio

ALL DJ NEED TO POST 5 MINS MIX WITH 4 DIFFERENT GENERES , 2 PHOTOS (1 FOR PROFILE , 1 FOR BANNER ) AND IS REQUIRED TO SEND TIME SLOTS THEY ARE WILLING TO PLAY !
