A television station in England is seeking a Jamaican family to parent two troubled teens as part of a documentary being filmed about parenting cultures.

For the past few weeks the producers of the show have been advertising for parents in Jamaica to answer the call to be the parents for two British teenagers in need of discipline.

According to a show researcher, Freddie Foss-Smith, the response so far has been overwhelming. "We were inundated with responses, we have done radio interviews, newspaper and television interviews," he said.

He said they wanted a Jamaican family because they were known to be very strict and disciplined, and they teach children about authority. This he said was different from the British situation, where some parents have lost control of their children due to a lack of discipline.
