Deejay Beenie Man, who grabbed DJ of the year honours last year, is once again gearing up to have a spectacular Summer as his latest single, Gimme Likkle for Born So Records debuted strongly at #17 on the Jamaica Music Countdown.
 
The deejay is having another great year as he has continued to perform overseas almost every week, plus he is planning a strong European tour which will see him gracing the stages of several of Europe's biggest festivals for the first time. In the meantime, he continues to dominate on the local scene as his previous single, Wine Gal spent three weeks at the number one position earlier this year on the RE TV, HYPE TV and Jamaica Music Countdown charts. Another popular Beenie Man single is Pickney Nah Hold You which is now #17 on the RE TV Dancehall charts.

Beenie Man is expected to keep his show Beenie Sizzle 08 at the Jamalco Sports Complex in Halse Hall, Clarendon. According to the organizers of the event, Free People Entertainment, there are plans to include at least one superstar artiste on this years already star-studded lineup. Names such as multi-platinum selling artiste Lil Wayne and Souljah Boy have been floated around.
