According to Newsday, the mother of 50 Cent's son Marquise, Shaniqua Tompkins, was in court today seeking a temporary restraining order against 50 Cent, while 50 Cent was filing a contempt petition for lost access to the boy .

50 Cent also filed a defamation suit, his lawyer said: "there comes a point where you can no longer sit on your hands and listen to her spread these falsehoods. Besides hurting his reputation, they have a damaging impact on their son."

Tompkins' lawyer confirmed that they have been served with the defamation suit papers. "They're seeking $20 million in the defamation suit and also seeking enforcement of the visitation order from family court."

Tompkins claims, that people associated to the Rapper have made threats against her.

"Threats have been made against my client and she needs to take the proper safeguards to protect herself and her family," Catsandonis told MTV News. While the lawyer said the threats came from "Mr. Jackson," he would not go into specifics

Reports say that 50 Cent hasn't seen his son since a fire destroyed the Rapper's Dix Hills home that is the center of a dispute between Tompkins and 50 Cent.

After the fire destroyed the house, Shaniqua Tompkins stated that she thinks Rapper 50 Cent was involved in the house burning down because he wanted to kill her.

In court, Tompkins said: "I will not let this man break me -- I won't.

Tompkins appeared with her 11-year-old son, Marquise. 50 Cent was not attending the court date, because according to his lawyer he is in Canada for business.

Judge David Freundlich granted the protective order and signed off on Jackson's contempt petition.

The legal order, which requires 50 Cent to forfeit all firearms and stay at "curbside" when picking up and dropping off Marquise, also bans 50 (born Curtis Jackson) from being on any property where Tompkins is.

50 Cent's lawyer, Brett Kimmel, accused Tompkins of badmouthing 50 Cent to their son and to the media, saying: "Mrs. Tompkins is promoting the idea that my client is trying to kill her and her son."

And Tompkins' lawyer, Paul Catsandonis countered: "Your honor, are you going to listen to these baseless allegations?"

Then Freundlich reminded the attorneys that they were not sworn in.

"I only listen to what is on the record," the judge said, adding, "I could care less about any of what you have to say."

I feel really sorry for Marquise watching that Video. How can you take your kid to court with you when you know it's gonna be a tough day. It's heart breaking how he tries to hide his face. A good mother would never do something like that to her kid and she is calling 50 Cent a bad father.
