A BOY of ten fell out of a tower block window and 200ft to his death after saying I love you to his little brother.
Christian Castano got the words out as he clung to a ledge of his mums 18th-floor flat.
He had been leaning against the window when a safety catch restricting the opening to just four inches slipped.
The pane lurched forward and brother Steven, eight, watched helplessly as Christian held on for a few seconds then fell.
Tributes ... flowers left at block
Family friend Ellie Dunne, 27, said: Christian managed to say I love you bro to Steven as he lost his grip.
Christian had been calling out to pals playing at the foot of the block in Ladbroke Grove, West London.
Waste
His tearful mother, Carla Nurden, 25, was in another room at the time.
Window ... safety catch gave way
She said last night: "I cant begin to explain how I feel. Its such a waste of life."
Carlas mum Sheila, 49, witnessed Christians fall from her own flat in a neighbouring block.
A family friend said angry locals blame a faulty window width restrictor.
Kensington and Chelsea council confirmed a probe had been launched.
A spokesman said: This year we have only been notified of two minor window problems. Neither concerned width restrictors and both were repaired promptly.
Floral tributes have been left at the scene for Christian who also had a two-year-old brother Andre.
Scotland Yard said Saturday nights tragedy was not being treated as suspicious.
