A judge rewarded Lil Kim (real name: Kimberly Jones) a half-million-dollars in a lawsuit against former fellow Junior M.A.F.I.A. member Lil' Cease (real name: James Lloyd ) and his
Company, Ground Zero Entertainment. Lil Kim accused Cease and the company of misusing her name and image for an unauthorized DVD. Lil Kim contended the DVD, The Chronicles of Junior M.A.F.I.A. made false advertisements and endorsements by using her name. She was also able to halt production on the sequel, The Chronicles of Junior M.A.F.I.A: Reloaded. Manhattan federal Judge Jed Rakoff found that Lil Cease and his company wrongly capitalized on the Queen Bees fame.
Originally the lawsuit was filed for $6 million. Lil Cease had testified against Lil Kim in a perjury trial that landed her in prison for one month and a day back in 2005. Since her release, the rappers finances have been in disarray. In April, Lil Kims Bentley, valued at over $250,000, was repossessed because she reportedly fell four to five months behind in payments.
