Rootz Underground to 'surface' new album

Reggae history will be created on Saturday May 17 2007 as Rootz Underground, the best Jamaican band to surface since Morgan Heritage, officially launches their debut album 'Movement' in Jamaica at the Ashanti Oasis Vegetarian Restaurant at Hope Gardens. The 'Movement' album has already received several superb reviews and is shaping up to become a cult sensation in the United States.

The 19-track album was produced by Wayne Armond, Bobby Digital, Dean Fraser and Rory Gilligan and is being distributed internationally by the Riverstone Records label. Movement! features some of Rootz Underground's best known songs such as the smash hit Victims Of The System, cult favourite Herb Fields, and the hard hitting Hammer. There are also several new treats such as When I Go and Corners Of My Mind to name a few.

Rootz Underground will indeed continue their revolutionary reggae Movement! on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Ashanti Oasis Vegetarian Restaurant at Hope Gardens. For a low entrance fee of J$800 / J$500 (with Student I.D) fans will able to attend the launch at 9PM.  There will also be an option for patrons to pay J$1500 which will include a copy of the album.  The launch will feature a live performance by the band themselves.
