Hezron has been having an impressive 2008 thus far. His latest single, So In Love, produced by reggae legend Bobby Digital, has been blowing up all over all major and community radio stations. It has even become a favourite of Irie FMs Ron Muchette, Big A and Mighty Mike, who said, Hezron is one of the best Ive heard, hes what Jamaica needs!
This single proves that Hezrons versatile singing style can be accommodated straight up to a new age reggae sound, while allowing him to maintain his R&B flare. The video for So In Love was released in February and has been getting steady rotation on local television and cable stations, include TVJ, CVM TV, Hype TV, Re TV, Negril TV to name a few. It premiered at number 5 on RE TVs MVP charts and is currently at number 3.
In early January his Detroit based Indie-artist label Wall Street Productions signed a management deal with Jamaican based DaCosta Records. DaCosta Records was happy to welcome Hezron to its Family of musical maestros which includes Carol Gonzalez and Las Vegass most sought after reggae band, Bonafide Reggae Band. Working in conjunction with DaCosta Records is publicist Ra-Umi Alkebu-Lan who presently works with reggae veteran Half Pint (Universal/EMG).
Hezron, a native-born Jamaican, released the single Missin U last year to an eager underground audience that awaited his return home.
Hezrons appearances include stops on the Klas FM/Inseason School Tour at Pembroke Hall High, St. Hughs High, Vauxhall High and Garvey Maceo. On this tour he cant complete So In Love and his opening track Apologize (cover of One Republics single) as the students were left literally crying for more. Hezron was special guest at Couples Negril Valentines event; he also appeared at Reggae months Lover Rock night at the Jonkunoo Lounge, Hilton in February.
On March 10th he performed for Spring Breakers at Jamfest 2008 alongside Beenie Man and Tamika Marshall, as usual he was brilliant in his delivery and was a favourite for the ladies especially. Hezron is now working overtime to finish final track for his debut album being produced by Chris Garvey producer of This Is Why Im Hot-Remix, and Bobby Digital for release on his Wall Street Label.
While production of his album is being finalized, his label is busy shopping for the perfect distribution deal with major distributors in the US and other Territories worldwide. The album promises to deliver strong vocals and great collaborations with artiste such as Beenie Man and debut artiste Big Nod.
