The relatives of Kevin Tulloch said they were forced to mourn his death twice after a truck crushed his corpse and coffin on the day of his funeral.
According to a relative of Tulloch, the incident took place on Sunday when the dead man's remains was being drawn on a chariot to a church in Dover, St Catherine. The chariot somehow got loose and ran down a steep hill into the path of an oncoming truck. The vehicle crushed the chariot, coffin and Tulloch's body to pieces.
The incident forced several persons to look on in disbelief.
When THE STAR visited the location about 2:35 p.m., one resident described what took place.
"Waan truck kill one dead man sah. Mi nuh know how them a go bury that," said the resident. Other residents added that they were unsure about what caused the chariot to loosen itself from the hearse.
Meanwhile, Tulloch's relatives told THE STAR they will be seeking legal redress on the matter.
