One of Jamaica's most distinguished singers and Grammy winner Mykal Rose has found a current hit, Shootout on a bouncy dancehall rhythm that has won him a new generation of music fans in Jamaica.

The brilliantly-produced single has been roaring up local charts and Shootout which appears on the John John label is a juggernaut in local rhythms. It is now #3 on the Jamaica Music Countdown charts, #4 on  Mega Top Ten, #8 on the Stampede Street Vibes chart and #16 on the HYPE TV charts. The singer recently performed a well-received set at the Negril Spring Break show, and was booked on a number of shows over the recent four-day Easter weekend. One of those shows was Easter Boom in St. Anns Bay, St. Ann.

There are tentative plans for an album to be released in May and several tracks, including a much-talked about c****ination with Jah Cure, have already been completed.
