At least two persons were killed between Sunday night and yesterday afternoon.
The killings took place in Trelawny and Kingston and involved a shooting in which three persons were shot, one fatally by gunmen at Molynes Road, Kingston 10.
Dead is 44-year-old Anthony Glen of Marverly Avenue, Kingston 20 while injured are two men ages 28 and 48.
Reports are that about 12:20 p.m., Mr. Glen and two other men were at a shop at Molynes Road when a grey Toyota Corolla motor car drove up.
Three men armed with guns alighted from the vehicle and immediately opened fire hitting them. Mr. Glen died on the spot and the others admitted in hospital.
In Trelawny, a mechanic was fatally stabbed during a dispute at Logwood Walk district, Wakefield, Trelawny.
Dead is Junior Edwards 42 of Logwood Walk district.
It was reported that at about 9:30 p.m on Sunday night Mr. Edwards had a dispute with a family member. During the altercation the family member was chased unto a nearby premises.
It was further reported that a man intervened and a knife was used to stab Edwards.
He was taken to the Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Duncans police who are investigating have taken the man into custody for questioning in connection with the incident.
