Kingston, JAMAICA: Dancehall artiste David Brooks, popularly known in the entertainment circle as Mavado, has issued a threat to OutARoad.com photographer Carlington Wilmot.
Mr. Wilmot received a call from upcoming dancehall artiste Einstein, christened Jermaine Show, at 2:30 p.m. today (March 13, 2008) who engaged him in a disgruntled conversation before putting Mavado on the phone. Mr. Brooks threatened Mr. Wilmot and even mentioned that not even dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel cannot save him from what he is prepared to do to him.
Baffled by Mavados comment Mr. Wilmot rang back Einsteins phone and was told by Einstein that: things ago happen to yuh.
A former OutARoad.com freelance writer was reportedly hospitalized after being beaten by members of Mavados entourage at his office, located at Merryvale Close.
The outrage began after Mr. Wilmot, who is affiliated with OutARoad.com, was accused of posting a story online which showed a partially naked Mavado and a female cuddling in a room.
A statement of the incident has been collected by the New Kingston Police where Mr. Wilmot reported the threat.
N.B. - OutARoad.com would like to publicize the fact that Vybz Kartel is not affiliated with the website in anyway.
