Peter Tosh was the better artiste all around but in that era for the world to accept a black man wasn't gonna happen and Bob Marley being half white he was more accepted hence the reason he got reggae music to the world... But this is only my opinion, I could be wrong with my view...

For my money I would say Peter Tosh.....He just never got the chance as Bob,, but in terms of lyrics and he was better of course!

Peter Tosh is the Greatest eeno...I say big up BOB on his marketing skills and he truelly is great...But anyone who really knows REGGAE knows Peter was the Corner Stone that The group was built on....Most of the songs Bob released when he went solo were remakes of Songs that was done while he was with the Wailers.....Peter Tosh had better Vocals too and was a Great Performer....Still remember him riding a UNI-CYCLE on stage while performing LOL mad....Ongle advantage BOB had over Tosh was his complexion.....Other than that Tosh all the way

but uhmm i always thought most of the lyrics for bob marley's greatest tunes were written by ghost writers
