A medical doctor accused of sexually molesting a teenage boy is to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday to answer several charges.
Dr Dwight Pusey, who is attached to the Kingston Public Hospital, was arrested and charged on Saturday. He was granted $150,000 bail with a surety.
He is facing charges of indecent assault, uttering a forged document and obtaining goods by fraud.
It is being alleged that the offences were committed in November last year.
The allegations are that some time last year the 17-year-old teenager went to the hospital suffering from pains to the neck and shoulder. He was examined by the accused who told him that he needed to be circumcised.
It is further alleged that telephone numbers were exchanged between the teenager and the doctor and arrangements were made for the circumcision to take place in November last year.
When the complainant went to a private section of the hospital where the circumcision was to take place it is alleged that Dr Pusey sucked the complainant's penis.
After he allegedly performed the surgery he took the complainant in his car to a pharmacy where he handed in a prescription which was allegedly in the accused's name and bore the signature of another doctor which the Crown is alleging to be forged.
A health card was allegedly used to get medication which was given to the complainant.
The complainant made a report to the police and Dr Pusey was subsequently arrested and charged.
