Pro work with shadows - part 1 In photoshop cs cs2 cs3

Tutorial goal:

Here I'll explain how to work as a Pro with shadow. It`s impossible to show all different skills here, but I suggest you to try and experiment.

step 1


Think that the black block is the image that you want to apply shadow...

Dragging the image...

Ease way to use drop shadow, using the mouse...

point the mouse at the image and drag...

NOW, WILL START THE PRO WAY TO WORK WITH SHADOWS.

At the layer 2, right click the mouse at the letter fx, and choose create layer...

Click at the layer 2`s drop shadow.

PLEASE DON`T FORGET TO CLICK!!!!

CTRL + T (transform) at the layer 2`s Drop Shadow.

Here, you can make simple ajustment using Free Transform...

Rotate the transform...

Here, you can decrease the size too, using shit key to keep the proportion

important: shift key keep the proportion

Start using transform distort...

Here, I have used transform distort with screw...

You can erase part of the shadow...

You can use gradient tool, at the shadow...

you can use Hue/Saturation at the shadow... but in that case you need the clipping mask.

AFTER THAT STEP, I SUGGEST YOU TO TRY OTHER WAYS. BECAUSE AS I KNOW HAVE A LOT OF THEM, IMPOSSIBLE TO SHOW ALL HERE.
