So I found this question on another forum & am interested in peoples opinions here?

WHY IS IT THAT ANY COUNTRY OTHER THAN THE CARRIBEAN COUNTRIES HAVE TO LEARN OR SPEAK PATOIS IN ORDER TO DO REGGAE MUSIC? I THOUGHT REGGAE MUSIC WAS ABOUT A MESSAGE HALF THE DAMN WORLD CANT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND PATOIS SO HOW CAN THEY UNDERSTAND YOUR MESSAGE? RASTAFARIANS ARE ABOUT NATURALITY SO IF I SPEAK PATOIS THATS NATURAL CUZ I WAS BORN SPEAKING IT BUT IF SOME ONE FROM AMERICA, RUSSIA, ASIA ETC SPEAK IT AND IS RASTAFARIAN OR JUST A GENERAL REGGAE ARTIST AND SPEAKS PATOIS IN THERE MUSIC IS THAT NATURAL? SO IF AUSTRALIA HAD THERE OWN CULTURE OF MUSIC DO I HAVE TO SPEAK LIKE THEM IN ORDER TO BE AN AUSTRALIAN ARTIST? PLZ PEOPLE I WANT ALLYUHZ OPINION

I find this confusing, cause it can go so many ways. The thing jus set how it set, we talk patwa, so we sing patwa. If u neva talk patwa from birth, then it a go sound funny when u a sing it, and people just nah go look on u as a jamaican artist, a just so __________________
