Two car crashes in western Jamaica on the weekend claimed the lives of six persons.
In the first accident two men were killed and another injured when their car crashed. Dead are Jason Marshall, 25 and Stokey Wilson, both of Thompson Street, Montego Bay. Injured is Dwayne Panton 22, a security officer of Hart Street, Montego Bay.
Police say at 10 p.m., Panton was driving a 1996 red Toyota Corolla motor car registered 1808 FE with Marshall and Wilson aboard. On reaching a section of the roadway, Panton lost control of the car which crashed into a wall. All three received serious injuries and were taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Marshall and Wilson died. The Barrett Town police are investigating.
Meanwhile the Green Island police are theorising that excessive speeding was the cause of an accident that killed four persons.
The four died after their car crashed on the Industry Cove main road yesterday.
Dead are Navado Grant, 26, Starri Leslie, 23, Jodi-Gaye Wellington, 20 and Donna Swearing, 36, all from Lances Bay, Hanover.
The CCN's Liaison Officer for Hanover says shortly before 4:00 a.m., the four were returning from a party in Grange Hill, West-moreland in a green Toyota Corolla motor car driven by Grant. On reaching a section of the main road, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which slammed into a retaining wall.
The occupants sustained multiple injuries and died on the spot. Firemen from the Lucea Fire Department assisted in cutting the bodies from the wreckage.

One of the guys in the accident from Hanover Stari, happens to be my closet male friend from 1st form until now. I saw the remains of the car earlier today, there is no way anyone could have survived that crash, it was a horrible site.
These things are always happening and it never hits home until it happens to someone close to you.
