Ace Bembe selector Jigsy seem to be trodding a lonely path in his crusade against Portmore Empire's front man Vybz Kartel, whom he has vowed never to play another song for during his lifetime as a selector.
The selector who recently made the announcement has once again gone public this time extending the boycott to include members of the Portmore Empire, after he heard several mixtapes featuring it's members taking lyrical swipes at him.
According to Jigsy he is sticking to his guns, even though he is not getting the support of fellow selectors, but base on reports from dancehall insiders, some are afraid and others are just trying to remain neutral instead of taking sides and fueling the war.
In the words of one popular disc jock "Dancehall is a mutual game an so there has to be an understanding between everyone, radio jocks, selectors and the artistes as they all need each other for the craft to thrive".
In a quest to find out what other members of the fraternity thought about Jigsy's stance we posed the question to several popular selectors all of whom declined to comment on the issue and from the observation made by 876radio.com, there seems to be some underlying fear of possible reprisal.
Kartel in a recent interview has publicly denied any involvement in the incident earlier this year that saw Jigsy allegedly being gun butted and ruffed up by men said to be aligned to the deejay.
