Tuesday, 29 January 2008 All is reported to be back to normal in the village in Guyana where 11 people were murdered by a suspected criminal gang last weekend.
Monday police fired tear gas on angry crowds of protesters who blocked roads along the country's East Coast. Police say both areas in Demarera and Berbice are calm and there was no presence today of any protestors.
People went back to work, shops were open, school children are back in their numbers and there were no signs of protest.
Earlier Tuesday sanitation workers were trying to pick up the remains of burning debris that were used in the protests in lower east coast Demarera, the centre of the unrest.
