Beenie Man leads the pack for the second IRIE FMs Annual Music Awards with 5 nominations; the Doctor will face off with Junior Reid (who also has 5 nominations) for Best Dressed Male and Best Collaboration for the Year. Junior Reid is also nominated in the Comeback Artiste of the Year and Reggae Ambassador, while Beenie Mans other nominations include Deejay of the Year and Song of the Year (for his single Back it Up).

Mavado is a close contender with 4 nominations. He is nominated for Singjay of the Year, Humanitarian of the Year and Song of the Year for Gully Side. Following closely of his heels is Pressure with 3 nominations in the categories: Album of the Year, Singjay of the Year and New Artiste of the Year.

Macka vs DAngel
Hardcore femme fatal Macka Diamond and DAngel go head-to-head for Female Deejay of the Year and Best Dressed Female., while Etana and Cherine Anderson are both vying for the Best Dressed title and Female Singer of the Year.

Meanwhile, Don Corleon has been nominated for Producer of the Year and has the rhythms Raging Bull and Artillery in the Rhythm of the Year category.
