A man, who reportedly held his 20-year-old daughter at knife point and sniffed her private parts, pleaded guilty to the charge of indecent assault when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

He, however, has to wait until January 28 for his fate to be decided.

The court heard that the accused locked his daughter inside a room and told her that he was jealous of her spending so much time with her boyfriend.

Statements from the complainant reveal that on January 7, just as she had come from the bathroom, the accused man who was wielding a knife, locked her in a room and reportedly told her that she was not going anywhere.

It is alleged that the following day the complainant was awakened by the accused standing over her and holding a knife at her throat.

The accused then reportedly kissed the complainant on her breasts and all over her body before continuing to sniff her private parts.
