Oneil Friend was sentenced to six months hard labour in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court where he appeared on charges of indecent assault.

Arresting officer Constable Clausil Clarke of the Spanish Town police told Registrar Magistrate Lorner Errar that on January 19, at about 7 p.m. the complainant was inside a wholesale shopping when Friend came up behind her and started to rub against her. Someone brought Friend's act to the attention of the woman, but by that time the man had already climaxed. Friend then reportedly ran from the scene.

The young woman started to chase Friend along the busy Burke Road, shouting "Hold him! Hold him! Him wet mi up!"

By the time she caught up with a breathless Friend, other persons converged, but before they could deliver their brand of justice, the police intervened and he was apprehended and charged.

Friend pleaded guilty. He told RM Errar that he is a construction worker and was just passing through St. Catherine.
