One woman's refusal to have sex with her boyfriend resulted in her being cut in the forehead with a knife.
Merlene Bogle told the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court that her boyfriend, Errol Graham, attacked her after her refusal.
"Him was asking me for sex and I wouldn't give it to him," she told the court.
She said the following morning while talking to her son on the phone, he accused her of talking to a man and then they both got into an argument. During the argument, he hit her and butt her in the head with a knife causing a wound.
Graham, a mason from a Kingston address pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding, but told the court that Bogle had been the instigator.
He begged RM Glen Brown when the matter was called up recently not to send him to jail as he would give her money to go to a doctor to get treatment.
The complainant, however, said she did not care to continue any relationship with the accused.
"I not lying down in any bed wid him cause him draw mi b*o**d," she said.
After listening to both, RM Brown granted the accused's request to give the complainant money to see the doctor. He set another mention date for the file to be completed and granted Graham $10,000 bail in his own surety.
When the matter was mentioned on January 16 and Bogle told the court that Graham had given her money to go to the doctor and that everything was fine now. RM Brown warned the accused not to get in this sort of trouble again and then admonished and discharged him bringing the matter to an end.
