Jamaican dancehall artiste David Brooks more popularly known as Mavado was booked to perform at a show in St. Vincent on January 19 but will not be allowed to satisfy his fans on the island.

Mavado3.jpgAccording to information reaching One876Entertainment.com Mavado has been banned by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines authorities.

According to unconfirmed reports, the media will be informed on the factors that contributed to the ban at a later media conference.

It was reported recently that police officials were concerned about Mavado's lyrics, which were considered to be violent.

Efforts to contact Mavado and his manager proved futile.

We will give you more news as we investigate.
