Not even the rain could stop the massive from coming out at Pepsi TeenSplash held at James Bond Beach on December 26. Although the show saw some good performances it also had moments of improper stage management. Following a real hot performer it lulled to an upcoming act!
At minutes after 1 am Jigsy from Bembe Squad was doing his thing then it was back to startime again. During Romain Virgo's performance the stage hands were conducting mic checks...how tacky!
Romain Virgo showed that he has exactly what it takes to make it. He was Mr. Super Cool as he crooned out classics such as "Let's Get It On," "I'm Still In Love" and "It Tears Me Up." He had the ladies in the audience eating out of the palm of his hand. He was in his element as he played, teased and drove his many adoring female fans wild.
It was no wonder when he left the stage the women made a beeline for him!
Strong performances came from Beenie Man who totally took control of the crowd. He had them in a frenzy as he moved from hits of yesteryear to present day. He was like the pied piper as he led the crowd down enjoyment avenue. He just could do no wrong for them. When he called Barbee on stage for their combination "Give It Up," it was to loud screams of appreciation. The Doctor executed a perfect musical operation as he took the curtains down on the 2007 staging of TeenSplash.
Busy Signal gave a sterling performance as he belted out one hit after another. But it was "Nah Go A Jail Again" that sparked the most forwards.
Other acts that gave good accounts of themselves were Capleton, Tarrus Riley, Timmy Burrell and Munga Honourable.
King of the dancehall, no matta if unu waan cfrown di man or not, it is what it is ( cyaan waite until next year for teensplash again, a di new top show now or anyway else di doctor a performe.
