Another chapter in the soap opera-ish lives of Jamaicas favourite fighting celebrity couple, Beenie Man and DAngel was written last night during K'shema Francis' 'Da Buzz' as well as Mutabarukas super-popular programme 'The Cutting Edge' on IRIE FM.

Both spoke openly about their marriage, and Mutabaruka, a man who tackles serious issues such as poverty, corruption, multiculturalism and Pan Africanism, was inadvertently forced into the role of marriage counselor in a frivolous marital spat.

During the interview, Beenie Man claimed that DAngel had put him out of the house on several occasions. However, during her segment, DAngel countered these arguments saying that it was Beenie who had moved out of the marital home over four months ago.

I dont know where Moses eat, sleep or drink for four months, she said.

DAngel accused her husband of repeated physical abuse during the last four months.

Right now, I have a black and blue eye from the last time Moses abused me, she said.

Moses think him can come in drunk and do whatever he wants to me.

She vowed that there would be no future abuse.

I am taking a stand for all women in abusive relationships, she said.

Mutabaruka interjected to ask why she endured the abuse for such a long time.

Because I never wanted it to be publicized and I thought we would move past that and we were going back to our regular life. I got married for the right reasons, I love Moses, I dont know what was Moses reason for marrying me.

She said she just wanted a man who loved and respected her. Then she uttered a sentence that few people would have ever thought she would have the bravado to let slip past her lips.

I am not the person to deal with my problems in public.

Muta: Can you work it out?

Not at this time.

Then Beenie Man called the studio again, and the producers patched him through just as DAngel was pontificating about abuse.

Moses doan have to worry about Marco Dean, he has an independent motherit is not Moses that built me, she said.

Yu sound like a politician ah look vote, Beenie Man said.

I am not into the back-and-forth argument and I am not going to talk to him like that, D'Angel remarked.

Then hang up then, retorted Beenie.

Mr. Baruka, didnt you invite me on your programme to talk?

At this point, the interview threatened to devolve into a microcosm of their relationship, two stars fighting for the spotlight, when Mutabaruka stepped in to end the interview.
