Mr. Vegas has been cleared to perform at this weekend at the 2007 staging of Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest's dancehall night dubbed Xplosion in Montego Bay, St. James.
"We have been given confirmation by doctors that Vegas can perform at this year's Sumfest, so everything is set to go," manager Earlton Clarke said
Mr. Vegas scored two top ten hits, 'Tek Weh Yuself' and 'Raging Bull' this year. Last week, the singjay was admitted to the Tony Thwaites wing of the University Hospital of the West Indies after complaining of chest pains. It was later revealed that the pain was caused by an acute case of pericarditis and gastroesophageal reflux.
The pericardium is a tissue that surrounds the heart itself, and when it becomes inflamed it will apply pressure on the heart muscle, causing pain and it could stop the heart which could lead to very serious conditions.
