This is indeed a very tough question to tackle , especially in the realms of philosophy and science. However, most theologians will shout out without any restrained on their part , that it's an easy thing to do , and it's happening as we speak. Well, let's try and wrap our mind around this notion for a little bit. Now if we're talking about something we have to know what we are talking about. Therefore what is a god ? Well , generally speaking a god is not a human nor an animal, but that still not clear enough. God is a being that is supreme and principal of object faith. Now we seem to be getting somewhere with this concept, but it's still obscure and is in need of some more clarification. God is the creator of the universe, but not the sustainer, wait a few seconds is that the god we want to discussed , I don't think so....so let's continue...God is the universe itself and not its creator..is this the god most western minds are familiar with...of course not.....God is the creator and sustainer of the universe, he's a male figure that is all-powerful (omnipotent), all-present (omnipresent), all-knowledgeable ( omniscient), all-good (omnibenevolent) , spaceless, timeless, and immaterial...whew!!! that is tiresome , but it seems to fit the definitions of what many Westerners pretty much considered to be God. It is also said that this Being is inexplicable, infallible and perfect in every way..Now ! I don't know about you guys, but I see these attributes given me some major problems whenever I attempt to mixed them...so please can someone help me in this Lab, I'm trying to create a god here that can be endowed with all these attributes...I'm amazed on  how the Christians, Jews and Muslim were able to do this trick.....Here we have a being that is inexplicable or incomprehensible or beyond explanation or cannot be known, yet all these attributes are given to this entity as if this entity is well known or explicable or explainable. To described someone or something you had have to have some knowledge of them or it  , in the case of a being, some form of observation or acquaintance has to happen. Now to look at the universe and our immediate surroundings we see complexities and intricacies that simply blows our mind , we deduced that we are also creator of things, forget about the other animals around us , because we've created things that even baffled us, and all those intricacies that appears very complex originated from our minds, also forget about all the trials and errors we have had to encountered to reached what appears to be perfection of some sort or finished product...then through this understanding we then claimed we know an entity that supposed to be inexplicable...wow!!! In other words we see a work of art that appears to be a finished product,  and then from that finished product we proclaimed to know an Artist we have never met. Again WOW!! Still many will claimed that he has touched their hearts and appeared to them via visions, dreams, and various spiritual experiences...Now let me get this straight...This being is supposed to be an inexplicable entity...right!! ok......yet a neurobiological kick boxing or flute playing occurred in the brain to produced some subjective ideas that you then used to claimed that you know this inexplicable being....wow!!! You then asked, "what had caused that weird thingy in my head" Well, there could have been a myriad of things that does have an explanation e.g from the food you eat, the body responding to something that it lacks , the body could have either been responding to stress, depression or hormone imbalance etc etc. but Whatever the means are there is an explanation for those stuff, without the use of attributing it to an incomprehensible thingy....Now the other attributes are just as bad...take for instant an all-knowing , all-good and all-powerful being and the problem of evil that engulf humanity. In other words how could there be so much evil, when we have a being that could eliminate all of  this by using his awesome power, and if he knows all...he would've known that evil could've slipped out, and he should've done everything to mitigate that problem by the snap of his fingers...or better yet...If god is the creator , and god his all-good, how could evil exist , where did evil come from...I here someone shouting IT'S FROM SATAN!!! well how did that happen , weren't the angels made specifically for a purposed , while humanity is presented with free-will, but if the angels has free will ...wouldn't it be foolish of them to used it against a being they knew personally , and that being can't lose no matter how hard they tried. They claimed that Satan was one of God favorite Angels....wow!!! and he had rebelled against God , so eventually God had thrown him out of Heaven , to earth, not any other planet or some other places in our galaxy or some other galaxy, to torment mankind...could god have averted all this by using his powers ? rather than to allowed the fallible , puny mortal such as humans to go through all the pain and suffering that awaits them on the day of Judgement....But we are not robots...we are endowed with the chains and shackles of free will...meaning if we choose what we really want we wouldn't spend eternity with god or if we choose what god want us to choose then it wouldn't have been our choice...and then we become robots for god...wow!!!! And this is to please a Being or Entity that is inexplicable....smh kmt!!!
