World-renowned and prominent Dancehall producer, Patrick Roach Samuels, teamed up with Justus JA to produce the highly-acclaimed, Overproof Riddim. Roach, whos been on the Dancehall scene for quite a while, broke through with the release of the Emergency Riddim in 2001. The first song produced on the Riddim was Vybz Kartel Call Di Ambulance, followed by songs from other Dancehall acts such as Bling Dawg, Ward 21 as well as an internationally-acclaimed single Breakout by Sean Paul.

The Overproof Riddim is one Dancehalls best Riddims at present with a host of top Dancehall acts such as Beenie Man, Mavado, Khago, Aidonia, Gyptian, Bounty Killer amongst others as well as international act, Daniel Bedingfield. Bedingfield, who brought an international flavour to the Overproof Riddim with his single Sometimes You Just Know is a British singer-songwriter. Additionally, hes the brother of pop singers, Natasha Bedingfield and Nikola Rachelle.

The Riddim has been in rotation on every radio station and locking down all the local charts with a variety of hit singles such as, Mavado, Settle Down, Khago, Tun Up Di Ting and Beenie Man, Lets Go, amongst others.

Furthermore, The Overproof Riddim has proven to be an all-rounded Dancehall Riddim; bringing to the forefront upcoming Dancehall acts, such as Navino. The young deejay is a member of the Jag One Production (J.O.P) camp, led by Sheldon Aidonia Laurence; getting his big break from the Overproof Riddim with his hit single Chilling Time. The J.O.P artist recently unveiled the video for Chilling Time single and in an OnStage interview expressed his style of music has been a singjay.

The hit Riddim is extensive, with approximate over 30 songs, including various hit singles. The latest single to be released on the Riddim is Einsteins Party Hard, which is another party song. Overproof possesses one of the longest track listings in Dancehall history, leaving Roach and his team to have a plethora of fans in the Dancehall arena wondering if recording on this production will ever stop. Given the large number of artistes that have already voiced the Riddim, many are left to wonder if Overproof has overdosed, provided such a vast array of singles.

Nevertheless, Roach is basking in the overwhelming success of the Overproof Riddim; explaining in an ER interview that the Riddim was a hit the first time he heard it. Roach further claimed that, Overproof a di Riddim weh ago run straight back to January.

The Overproof Riddim has proven to be one of the hottest Dancehall Riddims of 2011.
