DID RICHIE LOOP STEAL THE IDEA OF HIS HIT SINGLE MY CUPP?

Dancehall artiste Richie Loop has come under fire from US rapper Flawless Da Rap Chick. The rapper accuses the Jamaican artiste of stealing her song bearing the title My Cupp.

The rapper says that she recorded her song in 2008, as a party song.

In my cup was a catchphrase used with my friends and so I thought it would be cool as a song, so I wrote it, she said.

According to the rapper, she came to Jamaica to do promotions, and played the song in a club at Ochi Rios and thats when Richie Loop must have got the idea.

Initially, the DJs were playing my song, and when I returned to Jamaica I started to hear his My Cupp instead of mine and that was 2010, so I asked a DJ who is that and he said Richie Loop, she said.

She continued I was so angry because I worked so hard to promote my song and somebody took it and promoted it like it was his, she told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Flawless Da Rap Chick says that she asked other people to listen to both songs and they agreed that they were far too similar.

I wasnt going to do nothing about it but when I went back to New York, people started to contact me saying somebody stole my song, she said.

The rapper says that she contacted a lawyer and she was told that she doesnt have a case because the words in Richie Loops song were not the exact ones she used in her song.

She claims that even Richie Loops music video was made based on her video and thats what led her to leave a rude comment on Richie Loops profile and he responded.

He accused me of trying to get more views for my video. I dont have a crab inna barrel mentality, and he is a hypocrite because he stole my song and is acting like Im trying to get respect from him, she said.

She also had some strong words for Richie Loop.

Next time you steal somebodys song, make sure its not a hot song in the country you stole it from because people will recognise it, she said.

unique melodyThe WEEKEND STAR contacted Richie Loop and he rubbished the allegations made by the rapper.She sang a song and it didnt work, she is just looking a hype; try something else, he said.The artiste says his song has a unique melody that can be confused with no other . A lot of people have a cup song. Ding Dong, Ying Yang twins, Elephant Man. Put it like this, everybody sing about love and its a different thing, what are you going to do, copyright the words cup or love? he said.Richie Loop also gave some stern advice to the rapper.

Go research and do some songs because what you are doing is not working, he said.

Currently, Richie Loop is getting ready to release a video for his Summer Spazz song featuring Chris Martin.
