Talk Show Host Wilmot Perkins and his wife Elaine escaped injuries today after their vehicle crashed into the Lee's Fifth Avenue Shoes Store in Half Way Tree.

It's reported that no customer was in the store at the time the Perkins' vehicle crashed through the glass door and the staff members were not near. 

This afternoon Mrs Perkins said she was about to park at the store when the vehicle picked up speed and crashed through the glass door.

She said she is grateful for the help of the police and other people who came to their assistance after the crash.
