Allegations are that on December 22, 1981, the complainant, 59-year-old Alton Salmon, married Scott in Canada. It is alleged that sometime last year, he discovered that she was married to one Errol Leys on August 13, 1979 in Kingston, Jamaica.

Further allegations are that when checks were made at the relevant offices by the complainant, it was found that there were no records to suggest that the accused was divorced.
