A domestic dispute in Ocho Rios, St Ann, yesterday morning has left a woman dead and her common-law husband in police custody.

Dead is 22-year-old Sasha Edwards, a massage therapist from a resort in St Mary.

It is reported that about 7 a.m., an argument between Edwards and her common-law husband Kevin Peterson escalated into a fight, during which knives were drawn.

It is further reported that Edward's throat was allegedly slashed.

She was pronounced dead at the St Ann's Bay Hospital.

In the meantime, Peterson, who had initially fled the scene, then turned himself to the Ocho Rios police.
