It was a high drama in Half-Way Tree early Sunday morning as a woman reportedly cornered and beat her lover with a machete.

The incident reportedly happened about 6 a.m.

THE STAR understands that the couple was in a fight over an alleged affair the man was having with another woman.

"About 20 or so people did a watch dem and everybody did a laugh to see a woman a beat a man and it is not like it's a big fat woman. The woman is short and slim and she manage to drape up dis tall man and a slap him all over his body with the machete," a taxi driver told THE STAR.

"A dis you a dis me, you and di gal deh and you a gwaan like you and har nuh deh," the woman was reported to have said to the man.

THE STAR also understands that a male onlooker eventually took the machete from the woman as several persons from the crowd started encouraging the woman to beat the man because he was acting like a 'chicken'.

"She is a higgler weh sell and it seem like di man help her out with the business. Him never did a retaliate or anything like that, him just did a tek di lick dem. A long time me nuh see something like this, a big people dem probably inna dem 30s or 40s," a source said.

The source further reasoned, "After di man part di two a dem, dem just did a cuss until di man just walk gone about his business."

In the meantime, THE STAR understands that the incident was quelled without the help of the police and no wounds were inflicted in the heated dispute.
