A man who used a knife to stab his parents repeatedly was remanded when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court Tuesday.
He is Radcliffe Reid a 27-year-old labourer of Cow Gully, Bog Walk, St Catherine.
When the case was mentioned before Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green, Reid pleaded not guilty.
He was ordered remanded for psychiatric evaluation and to reappear, April 19, when the case will be mentioned.
Allegations are that on February 8, about 5:30 am, Reid, who is said to be mentally challenged, attacked his father while he slept, stabbing him repeatedly.
His mother went to the assistance of her husband and she too was stabbed, getting her tongue sliced in the process.
The accused, who went into hiding, was later held by the Bog Walk police and charged with two counts of unlawful wounding.
